Syracuse, steeped in Erie Canal history, has boatloads of shopping options for carefree sprees. Boutiques, shops, and galleries abound in Armory Square Historic District, Hanover Square Historic District, Marshall Square, and Skaneateles, the village by the lake. The tri-level Carousel Center, anchored by Bon-Ton, Lord & Taylor, Kaufmann's and JCPenney, has a Regal Cinema, free WiFi in the food court and commons, and an early-bird mall-walking program. Fingerlakes Mall, with a Bass Pro Shop, JCPenney, and Sears, also has eateries from Fiesta Taco to Thee Amish Market. Great Northern Mall, at the corner of Route 31 and Interstate 481, has Bon-Ton, Dick's Sporting Goods, Kaufmann's, Sears, and a Regal Cinema, while Shoppingtown Mall has Bon-Ton, Kaufmann's, JCPenney, and a Regal Cinema. Dollar-conscious fashionistas head to Waterloo Premium Outlets with dozens of shops including AIX Armani Exchange, Lacoste, and Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche. The Syracuse Chinatown Factory Outlet stocks Syracuse China, Libbey glass, and stages summer tent sales with bins full of bargains.
